Immerse yourself in creative experiences with other makers

As artists, we continuously seek to keep our work fresh and evolving and expand our artistic horizons. Experienced in various media, we are always curious about disciplines we have not yet explored, constantly looking for evolving approaches to our work. We crave new skills and techniques. We yearn for the opportunity to step out of our studios and shops, to immerse ourselves in creative experiences with other makers. Such is the spirit that drove the artists of the Pacific Northwest Woodturning Guild who came together over almost two decades ago to create Frogwood, An Artists’ Collaborative.

Frogwood 2025

Frogwood 2025 was held May 5-11, 2025 in Colton, Oregon. It was another amazing gathering of creativity and collaboration! Over 60 talented Artists brought an incredible diversity of mediums and expertise together to create for an entire week. We are grateful to all the artists who donated their equipment, materials and time to create over 175 pieces of artwork! We’re also grateful to our three volunteer photographers, Lee Mahoney, Dan Krucoff, and Winona Hwang, who took photos of all the art. Camp Colton was, as ever, a beautiful and inspiring setting for all of us to live and create for the week!

We held two separate auctions to sell all the artwork made at Frogwood 2025. The first was a lively in-person event at Camp Colton held on Saturday, May 10. A majorityof the pieces made during the collab were offered at this fast-paced silent auction, where we raised over $12,000 to help further our non-profit mission. The second was an online auction held June 1-8, 2025 where we raised another $8,000. Thank you to everyone who participated in these events! All profits from our auctions help fund scholarships and grants for artists who might not otherwise be able to participate in the Frogwood-type of collaborative artistic process and to help make future Frogwoods possible - and we couldn’t do this without such amazing community support - thank you!
