Rosey Covert wove a tiny sweetgrass basket, which April Ottey cast in bronze along with other cast botanicals.

"Basketry" Earrings
3” x 1/2” Rosey Covert hand plaited woven pieces with hand harvested and processed cedar bark and sweetgrass. April Ottey the cast the pieces in sterling silver and smithed them into earrings.

8" x 4" x 4" Rick Crawford carved a piece of New Zealand Pine (Rimu) based on a seashelll he found in Florida. Phil Seder created a forged, pierced steel stand in a spiral form to mimic the seashell; then he wrapped the stand in copper to harmonize the stand with the wood tones.

Coral Vortex Lamp
Size: 24" h x 23" w. Marjin Wall carved, assembled and milk painted the lamp base loosely based on undersea coral forms. Julie Johnson handmade the Abaca, cotton/curly dock leaf stem, and walnut-dyed Abaca papers and created the swirling shade.

Echoes of a Passing Train
Size: 16" x 16" x 10". RD Johnson carved the black walnut. Julie Johnson created the handmade paper/reed pieces. Materials include black walnut wood, artist made kozo paper with wild turkey feather inclusions and reed. RD's son thought the line of carving looked like a railroad, so the swirling paper/reed pieces emulate the sounds of a train whistle echoing in a canyon.

Victorian Collar
Julie Johnson sent Deb Curtis handmade cochineal-dyed flax paper. Deb stitched a vessel with the paper and added lace, inspired by the idea of a Victorian collar.

She created the shapes for the black pieces using a 3-D printer and then cast them in bronze, then darkened them with liver of sulfur. Laurent Niclot turned the wooden spindles - turning two of them off center in several areas to create the illusion that they were split or patched together. Marjin Wall then textured the spindles and painted them using milk paints. This piece can be displayed either horizontally or vertically.

Hashem's Hammer
30" x 15 1/2" x 3 1/2 Tai Lake sent Michael de Forest a wooden assemblage that suggested a hammer form. Michael added a handle of oak that he steam bent and twisted to create Hashem's hammer. He then used milk paints to embellish the piece.

20" x 16" This print includes linoleum block prints by 12 different artists. Marjin Wall made the frame and Bob Chiavarini carved, pyrographed and painted the frame and applied a lacquer finish. Julie Johnson made the paper and Rory Sparks printed the lino cuts. The following artists created the lino cuts (from top left): Jerry Harris, Michael de Forest, John Wirth, Phil Seder, Emily Johnson, Owen Lowe, Sally Ault, Yvonne Musey Johnson, Michael Hosaluk, Greg Wilbur, Winona Huang, and Kim Osgood. The concept of the group block print was inspired by Mark Sfirri and the Echo Lake collab.
