Interested in joining us for this year’s Collab at a Distance?
Here’s what you need to know!
How the Collab Works:
Step 1: Sign up for the event by completing this form by June 30th.
Step 2: Receive a list of participating artists and their mediums, and reach out to create your collaboration. If you need help finding a match, let us know and we’ll help you get the ball rolling!
Step 3: Create your collaborative artwork. This process may look however you like: in the past, artists have started a work and then passed it off to their partners, collaborating via mail, but you are welcome to work together however you want. In the spirit of Frogwood, this is about sharing creative space and cross-pollinating. Artists coordinate work hand-off and production independently among themselves. The only limits are on size, to allow us to ship the artwork to the auction winners in a USPS Priority Mail box.
Step 4: Submit your finished work for inclusion in the auction by mail by August 31st, including completing the art intake form (this will be supplied to you after sign-up). Finished art can be shipped to us as soon as July 15th, to allow us to begin photographing and building the listings on our online auction platform. Ship your artwork with tracking, so we can make sure it is received safely.
Step 5: Tell your friends, family, and network about the auction! This year’s event will happen online October 5th-11th. We use the online auction platform BetterWorld, and all artwork will be professionally photographed and listed on the site. The Frogwood auction team will then package and deliver the artwork to auction winners.
